Culture Shock DC : FREE East Coast Dance Concert

Do you dance? Are you a fan of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew? Are you looking for something to do this weekend?

Culture Shock DC presents “East Coast Dance Concert” (ECDC) on August 11th at the Carter Barron Amphitheater. There is NO cost, this event is FREE!

For the 3rd year in a row ECDC is free to watch for the public! Culture Shock Inc. is a professional dance company that serves as a non-profit youth outreach organization where their goal is to empower the youth through the positivity of music and dance.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Culture Shock DC perform at many venues and every time I see them perform they are nothing short of amazing.  So you should Join DC’s premier professional Hip Hop dance company for a weekend full of fun and excitement as they celebrate 10 years in Washington, DC. The lineup includes professional, collegiate, and youth hip-hop dance teams from all over the world.

The following day, Culture Shock will be hosting two events. The first are dance workshops open to everyone, taught by some of the visiting guest choreographers. Immediately following the workshops is the ECDC Jam, where regional and visiting dancers will have the opportunity to freestyle battle one another for bragging rights. The format will be 1v1 Bboy and 2v2 All Styles battles. Both events will be held at Dansez Dansez Dance Studio in Bethesda, Maryland.
