Lost in the World

Lost in the World is a track that was on Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” about a year and a half ago. Finally, Kanye has put out a video directed by London based filmmaker Ruth Hogben. After watching it a couple of times I’ve decided that it didn’t make it into my top favorite Kanye videos, the reason being it didn’t connect in the way Mr. West’s videos usually do. But hey, that’s just me and I still think that the video is a solid piece of work, it just lacks the soul that I like to see expect to see from Kanye.  I did think grunge dancers were interesting though. I took it as a representation of all of the paradoxes and opposites that are in the song( ergo the beautiful dancers with ruined/ugly makeup and their conflicted movements that seem as if there is some type of inner struggle happening).
