Since I’m already in Richmond for school, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to follow Richmond Fashion Week. On Sunday, I volunteered at Short Pump Town Center for the kick-off fashion show, which featured stores from around the mall such as Dillard’s, Saxon Shoes, South Moon Under, and more. When I arrived, the makeup artists and hair stylists were busy at work. Jameson Deloatch, who was in charge of the show, paired us up and gave us our assignments as dressers. The show turned out great! Watch the highlight video below:
On Wednesday, there’s a networking social at Can Can Brasserie, allowing you to meet and mingle with the fashion week team and models. There’s a jewelry showcase on Thursday at Gallery and the Can Can fashion show on Thursday. Saturday, the 21st, is the big finale, presenting 10 designers, 15 stores, and at least 80 models. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the week.
