My mom and sister watch Project Runway every season. This time I chose to watch it with them. They explained that this season is different from the rest because it’s the best of the best competing against each other. I might be speaking too soon, being that I’ve only watched two episodes, but it’s really an inspiring show. I’ve always had an interest in fashion, clothes, dressing well.. whatever you want to call it and seeing that you’re not the only one who shares that interest is heartwarming.
I use to think the fashion industry lacks purpose and no amount of quotes could justify fashion having a substance. The money spent in buying clothes or funding fashion shows seemed purposeless, but with anything it’s only important to you if you give it your own substance. I’m starting to get out of that mindset because it does serve a purpose and that’s to beautify ourselves. Specifically, it makes one feel a sense of purpose and importance. The finishing project of ones creation is something that shows talent just as much as an athlete or a chef.
The picture above is Rami Kashou. He is on this season of Project Runway, right now he’s my personal favorite. Hopefully he’ll go far.
